Tartuflanghe Dallorto pesto powder is a specialty seasoning mixed with Genoese Basil DOP - a unique basil variety from Genoa, Parmigiano Reggiano DOP - Italian cheese, known as King of Cheeses, and Fiore Sardo DOP - a traditional Sardinian sheep’s cheese. DOP is the Protected Designation of Origin denomination assigned by the EU to ensure the origin and authenticity of the products. 

Pesto is believed to have originated from Genoa, the region of Liguria. However, according to legends, even ancients Romans had their unique take on this vibrant green sauce, called Moretum, prepared by garlic, herbs, and cheese - all the essential ingredients of Pesto.
