Description

Carstens’ Lubecker marzipan bar is a soft, chewy, delicate, tender, and pliable authentic German confectionery indulgence with a predominantly sweet, nutty, and pleasantly chocolatey flavor profile. Renowned for its pleasing aromas, clay-like consistency, and smooth texture, this delectable treat is covered in rich and decadent dark chocolate.

Even though there’s a dispute over the origins of marzipan between Italy, Hungary, and Germany – no one can argue that this light candy-like mixture has become one of the most widely spread and frequently consumed treats worldwide during Christmastime. Traditionally made from ground almonds, sugar, and honey – marzipan is often rolled into thin sheets and glazed for icing Christmas cakes. You can discover delicious marzipan fruits, pigs, and cakes in our collection of German marzipan!

Founded in 1845, Carstens was established in Lubeck, a city famous worldwide for its marzipan production. With the experience of over 100 years under its belt, the renowned company has broadened its assortments- now carrying everything from luscious chocolate bars to fruit marzipan snacks, you can discover all the tempting delights by Carstens; in our online German grocery store!

Carstens’ Lubecker marzipan bar makes a lip-smacking accompaniment to a cup of bitter, black coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. On top of that, this full-flavored indulgence can be paired with a glass of red wine, as nutty almond notes play harmoniously with fruity grape touches.
