Description

Morelli Calamari is a short, ring-shaped pasta inspired by the look of calamari rings. Made with Tuscan durum wheat semolina and fresh wheat germ, it develops a distinct wheat fragrance and may tint the cooking water slightly green. The short tubes are thick enough to stay firm but open enough to hold sauce inside each ring. This shape is excellent for fish and shellfish sauces, or simple olive oil, garlic, and herbs. It also works well in baked dishes or mixed with chunks of vegetables for a more rustic, spoonable pasta.
