Description

Asturi Italian Almond Cookies are crunchy and aromatic Italian treats made with an original Lombardian recipe consisting of ground apricot kernels, sugar, and egg whites. Each amaretti cookie is baked to perfection to provide a satisfyingly crisp texture and balanced flavor.

Amaretti cookies are one of the most beloved Italian treats that were supposedly invented in the middle ages. Named after the Italian “amaro,” meaning bitter in reference to the bitter almonds or apricot kernels they contain along with egg whites and sugar, amaretti cookies vary from soft to crispy. Amaretti di Saronno is a naturally gluten-free cookie that became an Italian household staple. Originating from Lombardy, these cookies are characterized by a crisp and airy texture and a distinct bittersweet flavor. A wide variety of Italian amaretti, as well as Cantuccini, Baci di Dama, ladyfingers, and more, can be found in our wide selection of Italian cookies!
