Tre Marie Stracciatella Milk Creme Wafers, 1.3 oz x 30 layer thin crisp wafer sheets with a sweet milk cream shot through with dark chocolate chunks, the gelato flavor stracciatella turned into something crunchy. They are baked in Lombardy, at Cosio Valtellino in the Valtellina valley. One thing to be clear about: each carton holds thirty individually wrapped portions, one box divided that way, not thirty separate boxes. Stracciatella means little shred, a nod to those chocolate flecks. The single wraps make them easy to keep at a desk, throw into a bag, or hand out to children after school. Have one with an espresso and resist opening a second.
