Tre Marie Hazelnut Cream Wafers, 1.3 oz x 30 are thin crisp layers sandwiching a smooth hazelnut cream with chopped hazelnuts folded in, baked at Cosio Valtellino in northern Italy. To be clear about what arrives: one carton holding thirty individually wrapped portions, not thirty cartons. The box calls them Nocciolato, Italian for hazelnut, while Ancora Uno reads as one more. The filling has real chopped nut in it rather than flavoring alone, so the crunch is drier and more interesting than a chocolate coated wafer bar. Because each portion is wrapped on its own, they are made for a handbag, a desk drawer or a lunchbox. Have one with your afternoon coffee.
