Description

Sweet, bright, and bursting with the fresh character of sun-ripened Italian tomatoes, these whole cherry tomatoes are the secret to a sauce that tastes like it was made in five minutes and simmered for hours. Rega has been processing tomatoes in Campania, southern Italy since 1965, sourcing from the region around Naples that has always been considered the heartland of Italian tomato production. Packed whole and unpeeled in their own juice with nothing else added, they keep everything that makes a good cherry tomato great: that natural sweetness, that bright acidity, and the delicate, fresh character that plum varieties simply cannot match. Toss them into a quick pasta sauce, spoon them onto bruschetta, scatter them over pizza, fold them into a seafood preparation, or use them wherever a lighter, sweeter tomato is exactly what the dish needs. Net weight 88 oz, drained weight 53 oz. For the kitchen that knows the best sauces start with the best tomatoes.
