Mitica Valencianos Sunflower Seed Crackers are shaped by hand in Spain, which is why the planks are long and irregular and why they snap so loudly when you break one. The dough carries extra virgin olive oil and whole sunflower seeds, so the flavor is savory and faintly nutty rather than plain, and you can see the seeds through the window box before you open it. They are sturdy enough to carry a thick wedge of Manchego or a spoonful of membrillo without cracking apart. The name just means Valencian, after the region. Put them on the table with cheese, cured meats and olives, and keep the box standing up so they do not break.
