Description

Fratelli Contorno Arrabbiata Spicy Tomato Sauce brings Palermo heat to a weeknight pot of pasta. Ripe tomatoes are simmered with extra virgin olive oil, onion, garlic and basil, then lifted with hot pepper so the spice builds gently instead of scorching. The texture is loose and spoonable with soft bits of tomato, and it clings well to penne, rigatoni or bucatini. Warm it gently, toss with hot pasta and a splash of the cooking water, then finish with grated pecorino. It also works as a dunk for arancini or a base for shakshuka style eggs.
