Description

Bauli Classic Italian Mini Panettone is an exquisite traditional Italian cake with a soft texture enriched with candied fruits and raisins. This panettone is one of the most popular ones in Italy!

Panettone is a traditional sweet Italian bread typically sprinkled with raisins, almonds, and citruses. Although the origin story of this cake is uncertain, its history traces back to 15th century Milan. According to one of the legends, the chef accidentally burned the Christmas cake intended for II Duce’s holiday feast. A young cook, Toni, saved the day by making a sweet loaf from leftover ingredients and raisins, which the Duke named pan de Toni, also known as panettone today. A wide selection of panettone cakes as well as many other sweet delights can be found in our wide selection of Italian holiday products!

The story of Bauli is traced back to 1922, Verona. It was a small city in Italy, where Ruggero Bauli decided to pursue his life-long passion for baking and opened up a small pastry shop that would soon turn into an unbelievable success, renowned all over the country. By combining traditional Italian baking with modern processing techniques, the brand has become famous for unmatched quality and impeccable taste. You can discover Bauli’s aromatic seasonal panettones, pandoros, and much more in our online Italian grocery store.
