Venchi Pistachio ChocoBiscuit Snack Bar is a double layer of crunchy cocoa biscuit covered in velvety pistachio gianduja, and the biscuit is gluten free, which makes it a rare thing: a proper chocolate snack bar from a serious chocolatier that a coeliac can actually eat. It is small and compact, built to be carried in a bag or a pocket. The biscuit keeps the pistachio gianduja from being too rich. Made in Turin, where Venchi began in 1878. Keep one in a drawer for the afternoon when a coffee on its own is not going to be enough. It is considerably better than anything you would grab at a petrol station, which is the whole point.
