Ladyfingers, also known as Boudoir or Savoy biscuits, are oval-shaped cookies generally considered a French invention originating in the 15th century at the court of the Duchy of Savoy. At the time, they were often gifted to visitors in France and were named “ladyfingers” because of the resemblance to the thin and delicate fingers of a lady. Matilde Vicenzi is an artisanal family-owned bakery brand that started off as a small pastry shop, also known as pasticcerie, in 1905 in San Giovanni Lupatoto, Verona, Italy. The founder of Matilde Vicenzi, Matilde Vicenzi herself always loved creating pastries at home, and with the support from friends and family, she began her own pastry shop, which quickly became popular throughout the region. With over 115 years of experience, the Vicenzi brand still follows the philosophy of simplicity and quality by using fresh eggs and high-quality Italian wheat.
