When talking about Amarena Cherries, you cannot skip talking about Fabbri. Fabbri is the reason why Amarena Cherries are so popular. Gennaro Fabbri’s wife had picked Cherries from an orchard near their home in Portamaggiore and brought them home for her husband. Fabbri loved the Cherries his wife had cooked so much, that he began to sell them. In 1905, the company started under the name, Fabbri. To this day, the company is still family owned and using the same recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation.
