Telugu fish masala is a spice mixture of pulses and spices best used for cooking South Indian style Fish Curry.

For Fish Curry:

  1. Marinate 1 kg of fish pieces with 2 tsp of ginger garlic paste, 0.5 tsp of turmeric powder, 3 tsp chilli powder 1 tsp oil, salt (as per your taste) for 1 hour.
  2. Heat 5 tbsp oil, saute chopped onions until golden brown color, add tomatoes until oil floats on the surface. Add 3 chopped green chillies, 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste. 
  3. Add the marinated fish pieces. Mix well. Add tamarind juice, salt to taste, heat the mixture for 15 minutes.
  4. Add 1 tbsp of fish masala powder heat it on a low flame for 5 minutes. Serve hot.
