Product Description

Mian jin is fried gluten that is commonly used as imitation abalone (clam meat). It is believed fried gluten originated in China as a meat substitute for Buddhist monks. Enjoy this fried gluten as a substitute for meats and seafoods for delicious, meatless meals. Made from the protein in wheat (gluten) this seitan is highly versatile and can be used instead of any soybean-based vegetable protein or meat substitute!

With a jingle that has been deeply rooted in the hearts of Taiwanese people since the 1980s, Chin Yeh is the pioneer of canned food with authentic Taiwanese flavor with their fried gluten becoming a must-have product in households.
