Haha Broad bean with Chili Doubanjiang sauce is a fermented broad bean paste with chilies. The origin of Taiwan Douban sauce comes from Okayama, Kaohsiung. Some people say that it is from the air base in Okayama. Because the air force was mostly from Sichuan, these air force soldiers were nostalgic for their hometown after they retired. The peppers grew in this area well, so Douban sauce was born under the continuous improvement of these group of wanderers who missed the taste of hometown. Doubanjiang is one of the most popular seasoning or condiments in Sichuan cooking. It is sometimes referred to as the soul of Sichuan cuisine and can be used as an ingredient in a dish, or simply stir fried with noodles or rice! Use Doubanjiang to create deliciously spicy and authentic Sichuan cuisine, or to provide flavor to soups and sauces. Haha Douban sauce has been upheld by three generations who are dedicated to the ancient method. During the production process, it is emphasized that the beans have been cooked in the sun for a long time and the sun is well-done. High-quality soybeans must be used. A large spoon of sesame oil is stirred in when the jar is done. It is a jar of bean paste that everyone applauds.
Haha's advantage is that the beans are fermented properly. The flavor, saltiness, spicy and sweetness of the watercress sauce completely complement the food. It is very suitable for dipping sauce or seasoning, so it is recommended by many well-known domestic chefs. Many international students will remember to bring two cans when they go abroad or go on vacation. This is a good addition to traditional Chinese food.
The origins of the Haha brand find itself when Grandpa Ha moved to Taiwan from the mainland and used the ancient method to refine the family-owned flavor of Douban sauce. Although the life was difficult, it was always faced with a laugh. "Haha Doubanjiang" is named for this, hoping to infect the spirit of laughter and joy to everyone.
