Pork salami with Belgian ale and lemon zest (no nitrites or nitrates added) is an uncured (containing no chemical preservatives) salami made with beer, black pepper, lemon zest, garlic, and spices. Tangy, citrusy, and malty tones of Belgian ale combine with intensely bitter lemon zest notes resulting in a unique pork salami with a depth of flavors.

Believed to have been made for at least 2000 years because curing meat was one of the prime means of food preservation, salami (cured sausage containing fermented and air-dried meat, predominantly pork) derives from the singular Italian word salume, attributing to all types of salted meat. Considering that salami can be stored at room temperature for almost forty days once cut, it was historically popular among Central, Eastern, and Southern European peasants. Some of the most prominent salami varieties are Genoa salami (seasoned with black and white peppercorns, garlic, salt, and wine), soppressata (smooth texture and bold flavors achieved by using cracked black peppercorns or crushed Calabrian red pepper), chorizo (enriched with fresh garlic, herbs, spices, and smoked paprika, etc. You can find a wide selection of the world's best salami in our curated collection at Yummy Bazaar.
