Product Description
MDH's Deggi Mirch Chilli powder is a unique, age old blend, processed from special varieties of colorful Indian red chillis. It is mild-hot and imparts a glowing natural red color to curried dishes making them attractive and more palatable. Made with colorful red capsicum and Kashmiri red chillies, this versatile spice may be used as chilli powder for any dish! In northern India it is used widely in chicken and veggie curries, dals, naan, and paratha bread. Oftentimes used in kebabs, rice, dals, sambars, soups and stews, garam masala spice mixes, and biryanis, this beautiful Indian red pepper powder is not only nicely red but also mildly spiced.
For best results fry chopped onions in oil until golden. Then add chopped tomatoes and Deggi Mirch. Stir until homogenized, and red in color. Then proceed with regular cooking. If not using tomatoes, reduce flame and add Deggi Mirch.
