MDH's Chunky Chat Masala is an Indian spice blend for salad. Containing a blend of mango, cumin, coriander, musk melon, mint, and ginger, this spice blend is versatile for creating the best chat masalas. Chaat can refer to traditionally cold snacks or salads, and this masala, or spice mix provides the perfect dry dressing for any chat you want to make! The possibilities are endless - you may have veggie chat, fruit chat, potato chat, and more!
Aloo Chat: take 1.5 potato per person. Peel and cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Heat a sufficient quantity of edible oil or ghee in a frying pan and fry potato pieces on low flame until they are golden and tender. Strain and transfer into a large bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of chunky chat masala and 2 teaspoon of lemon juice. Stir well and serve hot.
Fruit chat: take 1.5 cup per person, peeled and deseeded assorted fruits, cut into 1/2 inch pieces and add chunky chat masala and lemon juice. Sprinkle over wafers, savory items, fried nuts, grilled or roasted items such as tikkas, kababs, fruit and vegetable salads, sandwiches and more!
