Pearled spelt, known as faro perlato in Italy, is a delicious and hearty grain that can be used as a substitute for regular rice. One of our favorite ways to enjoy this pearled spelt is with a porcini mushroom cream! To make, sauté onion, garlic and olive oil in a large sauce pan. Add in spelt until lightly toasted. Add in wine and stir in broth slowly until spelt is cooked fully. Remove from heat and mix with porcini cream, salt and pepper and enjoy!Facts: 17.6 oz. 500g. Product of Italy.
