La Leyenda Sheep's Milk Cheese with Espelette Chili Pepper is a spicy manifestation of a Spanish tradition. This classic pasteurized sheep's milk cheese has been matured for four months, giving it its distinctive rich, zesty, and somewhat salty flavor. This taste is further enhanced with Espelette Chili Pepper, which adds its fruity, mildly spicy flavors.  This cheese is manufactured in Spain.

Spanish have a long tradition of crafting world-renowned staples with Sheep’s milk. One of such examples is the Manchego cheese. The history of Manchego cheese dates back to the Iberian Civilization of the Bronze Age. The sheep milk curd was traditionally pressed into hand-knit baskets and aged for 60 days to 2 years in designated caves by cheesemakers. The result is caramel-like, nutty, and somewhat crumbly Manchego with its distinctive zig-zag pattern on the rind. Manchego was born in the Spanish region of La Mancha, home to Don Quijote. Rind (not edible) contains preservative E-235.
