Roasted soybean flour is referred to as "Kinako" in Japan and is used in a variety of dishes. Made from finely ground whole soybeans this soy flour is commonly used in making dango, a Japanese sweet dumpling, and traditional Japanese confections known as wagashi. Different from traditional Japanese soy flour, this kinako is sweetened with honey and adds finely ground sesame seeds for a much sweeter flour that carries a slightly bitter and nutty taste.Use this kinako to make traditional dango and wagashi. From the end of the Meiji period, Maehara focuses on milling and specializes in Japanese flours
