Connetable Cod Liver with Guerande Sea Salt is a product made from wild cod liver canned with its naturally released oil and Guerande Sea Salt from Southern Brittany. Prepared in the old and traditional ways that guarantee the quality and taste of the product, this cod is sterilized, smoked with beechwood, and hand canned. Rich in omega 3 fats and vitamin D, this product is a perfect way to add more nutrients to your toasts and salads, best served cold. This product contains only natural ingredients, is prepared without any artificial flavorings or preservatives, and is MSC certified, which guarantees that it meets the international standards of sustainable and ethical fishery.

The Chancerelle cannery, the Connetable brand’s parent company, was born in 1853 as the first cannery in France. Throughout history, this cannery has been a very important source of canned sardines, especially during times of need such as the US civil war. In 1867, The Chancerelle cannery won the Silver Medal at the Paris World Fair for the highest quality of its products and ingredients used to create them. In 1957, Connetable launched its hallmark red tin whole sardines in extra virgin oil, which remains to be the brand’s flagship product today.
