Plain Boondi is a great Indian Base! They are simply mini fried chickpea puffs, and so versatile for any use! You can combine them into curries, simply toss them in spices for a quick snack, or make a raita by mixing them with yogurt and red pepper for a delicious spicy offset side dish!
Deep Foods started in America when Mrs. Bhagwati Amin introduced her Gujarati treats to her local community. After receiving much interest in the Indian foods, the Amins set out to bring the best Indian cuisines to America.
Boondi is also popular as a sweet dish called boondi laddu, where these puffs are soaked in a syrup and enjoyed as a dessert!
