Anysetiers du Roy Dark Chocolate Fondue is an exquisitely rich combination of bittersweet dark chocolate with sweet caramel and a touch of Fleur de Sel. Brought to you in a beautiful stoneware tumbler, this fondue is easy and mess-free to heat. It boasts ideally sweet and salty flavors and stays melted for at least 45 minutes.

Fondue, deriving from the French "fondre," meaning "to melt," is the art of dipping bread, fruits, and everything in between into warm melted chocolate or cheese. Although fondue itself is Swiss, it's specifically made in the western part of Switzerland, where French is widely spoken. Initially, the first fondue was made with cheese in 1699. Anysetiers du Roy is a French brand specializing in preparing authentic blends of aromatic herbs and spices as well as chocolate fondues. The brand started off as a restaurant located in Paris' Ile Saint-Louis, near Notre-Dame, where it became very popular in the 1960s. At the end of each dinner, customers received a gift pot of the special herbes de Provence blend brought to them in crocks and prepared by Louis Lombard, who was the first to combine aromatic herbs with lavender flowers. The success of the little crock jars inspired the founder's son to produce clay and stoneware pots that were made in a small village near Valence.
